When you visit the site

To deliver its pages, the site's server reads what your browser sends with every request: your IP address, the page asked for, your browser and device type, your language preference and the page you came from. The language preference opens the site in your device's language, Turkish or English.

These are collected automatically, on the legal ground of our legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it secure (KVKK Art. 5/2-f). The site's server keeps no record of visits. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, processes your IP address to deliver and protect it, under its own privacy policy.

Who receives it, abroad: the site is hosted by netcup GmbH in Germany, and delivered and protected by Cloudflare, Inc. in the USA. The information above goes to them only so that the site can reach you and stay secure.

Cookies and browser storage

One cookie, “locale”: set only when you change the language with the TR / EN switch, it remembers that choice (“tr” or “en”) for a year and holds nothing else. It is sent to this site only.

One entry in session storage, not a cookie, “westhan:loader”: it notes that the opening animation has played in this tab, so it does not play again. It never leaves your browser and is gone when you close the tab.

There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and no third-party scripts, maps or videos embedded in the pages. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; the site then simply does not remember your language.

When you write to us

The site has no form. Its enquiry buttons take you to Instagram, where you write and send your message yourself. Your choices on the “Build your Westhan” page stay in the page's address and reach us only if you send them.

When you write to us, we use your user name, what your profile shows and your message only to answer you and send you a quote (KVKK Art. 5/2-c). Instagram is run by Meta under its own privacy policy. The site does not store your messages: they stay in our Instagram inbox, on Meta's systems, and we delete them when you ask.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may ask whether we process your personal data and for information about it, have it corrected or erased, learn who it is shared with, object to a result drawn from it, and claim compensation for harm. Write to us on Instagram, @westhanyacht, or by post to the address above; we answer within 30 days.
